Chiswick House & Gardens, Chiswick

Chiswick House is a neo-Palladian villa set in beautiful historic gardens which became the birthplace of the English Landscape Movement.

Joanne Sawicki was a founder Trustee for the Chiswick House and Gardens Trust, set up to run the HLF funded £12m gardens restorationproject, and included constructing the hugely popular cafe opened in 2010.

The project was a joint venture between London Borough of Hounslow, and English Heritage.

As Chair of the Communications Committee, Joanne designed and delivered the complex stakeholder liaison and consultation, and advised on all commercial aspects of the project, including the business case and revenue generation.

Paul Cayford’s role for the Chiswick project included managing the community and stakeholder consultation; defining the brief, creating initial feasibilities, and guiding the team selection and design process.
