Design mentor projects

BBC Media Village, White City, London, UK

The BBC Media Village project houses the Broadcast Centre where the BBC’s digital content is managed, stored and played. The £350 million development opened in 2004, part of a £2 billion property strategy to rationalise the BBC’s 500 buildings.

Paul Cayford was appointed by the BBC to masterplan and coordinate the property strategy, and commissioned development projects around the UK.

“The Broadcast Centre was the catalyst for the whole BBC Media Village development.. Paul performed an outstanding job working with BBC Broadcast from the very beginning.... through the design and construction process, to the final selection of artwork” Pam Masters— Director BBC Broadcast
